Ministry of Music
Accompanying Musicians - Assist musically during worship services. Rehearsals are once a week (Tuesday evenings and at 8:00a.m. Sunday mornings). Theory skill is a plus for this versatile group of musicians.
Adult Choir - Persons who can sing and are willing to commit themselves to the ministry of music through regular attendance of rehearsals, Sunday morning worship services, and occasional times of ministry in music as deemed necessary.
Youth Choir - Persons willing to have their voices trained and begin learning various types of sacred music. Rehearsals are on designated and scheduled times. The choir sings on Youth Sundays and on special occasions as requested. This group consists of youth ages 13-17.
Children Choir - Persons who are willing to be encouraged, developed and trained to sing at a young age. This group consists of children, ages 5 to 12. Rehearsals are designated at scheduled times.
Praise Team - Persons who can sing and are willing to commit themselves to the ministry of music through regular attendance of weekly rehearsals, Sunday morning worship services and occasional times of ministry in music as deemed necessary.
Special Music - Persons who have the gift of exhortation and the talent of singing, ministering through song.
Liturgical Ministry
Ushers/Greeters - Persons who serve as representatives of Christ to the saved and unsaved, members and guests, by making them feel welcomed and passing out the church bulletins. Person needed to warmly and humbly greet and direct members and guests to appropriate seating in the sanctuary and perforning various duties, such as collecting the offering. Responsible for directing traffic in the parking lot during special Sunday Worship Services, such as Friends & Family day, baptism, etc.
Ministry of Music
Drama Ministry - Members who enhance the worship of God through the expression of plays, skits, motivational words, etc.
Praise Dance Ministry - Members expressing themselves through dance.
Prayers Partners - All members after completing Newcomers are encouraged to participate. Partners of GBC persons needed to support the ministry of intercessory prayer for the world, nations, states, cities, communities and our local body. This is accomplished by the assignment of prayer partners who pray at least once a week for items assigned by the prayer partner coordinator.
Media Team
Audio Specialist - Assist in sound recording editing playback, stage management, setting-up and breaking down of music and microphone equipment. Helping with the audio voice and music tracks; also helping the local Body of Christ in production and other technical support. This area of ministry is for people who are highly dependable, punctual and driven by the pursuit of perfection.
Video Specialist - Assist in set-up, maintenance, operations and breakdown of production sites and equipment, including cameras, projects, character, stage and environmental lighting, editing and providing technical support to the local body of GBC. This ministry is for people who are highly dependable, punctual and driven by the pursuit of perfection.
CD/Tape (Audio and Information Table) - Assist in the purchase, maintenance of inventory and distribution of GBC audio. Sunday messages and Urban Foundation for the Family Tape Ministry providing resources for educational and spiritual development. The person also controls inventory and accounting of tape funds to assure proper stewardship of financial resources.
Marketing Ministry
Multimedia - Person will be responsible for projecting various images onto the screen during A.M. worship service and securing sheets for praise and worship practice before Sunday A.M. worship.
Photographers - Persons who are skilled at taking pictures during special events, worship service and special events as needed.
Website Ministry - Persons who create and maintain the GBC website. Installing and editing our website and keeping it up-to-date.
